Who we are
From the depths of history, we cultivate for a promising future and restore the greenery of the Land of the Two Rivers (Mesopotamia).
The name “JISHIMMARU” derives its roots from the deep history of Mesopotamia (Land Between the Two Rivers), the cradle of civilizations and one of the earliest regions of organized agriculture in the world.
In the Sumerian Language: the name refers to “the sacred tree” or “the tree of life”, which in ancient beliefs represented the source of fertility, nourishment, and immortality. This profound symbolism aligns with the role of the date palm, which has been and remains the true tree of life in Iraq.
In the Babylonian Civilization: the concept evolved to symbolize “the world tree”, which connects the earth with the sky and expresses strength, generosity, and continuity. This reflects our ambition to be a bridge linking the rich agricultural heritage with modern technologies to achieve high and sustainable productivity.
Inspired by this great civilization heritage, JHIMMARU AGRICULTURAL AND ANIMAL INVESTMENT CO. was established to revive the glory of Iraqi agriculture and to be a fundamental pillar in achieving food security and environmental protection, while preserving an authentic national identity.
